Welcome!

Flowering trees on campus.

The Campus Trees Project is a self-guided tour of trees on the University of Minnesota St Paul Campus. There are a few different ways to use Campus Trees:

  • Look around campus for trees with large green signposts in front of them. Each signpost has information specific to that tree. It also has a QR code linking to this website with more information about the individual species. Any smartphone or tablet QR Code-reading app should take you to the website.
  • Browse the Tree Species page to find a list of all the species included in the project. Each page has biological, cultural, and historical information about individual plant species, as well as a link to a map showing where to find an example of that species (Coming Soon)
  • Take a look at the Map tab to see all the trees included in the project.

The Campus Trees Project is intended to create a way for visitors to engage with the rich diversity of trees on the St. Paul Campus of the University of Minnesota. Click here for more information about the history, funding, and background of the project.
